OPADE'S MISSION

The Organization for Peace, Dialogue Among Civilizations, and Education (OPADE) is an independent international institution headquartered in Dakar, Senegal.

OPADE’s objective is to promote and maintain peace in Africa and around the world through education and dialogue among civilizations, in the spirit of the United Nations Charter and in coordination with partner governments. OPADE undertakes mediation efforts to resolve conflicts and contributes to the fight against terrorism in Africa through intellectual means and with the assistance of internationally renowned experts.

OPADE maintains close cooperation with all institutions working for the cause of peace. To carry out its missions, OPADE’s activities are organized into three distinct departments:

• Peace and Interfaith Respect
• Dialogue Among Cultures
• Education

Through these departments, OPADE develops programs aimed at combating extremism and poverty by promoting education, dialogue among civilizations, and youth employment.
